Two games took up the latter half of my Sunday afternoon this weekend. I finally got my chance to see Nanaimo play when they took on Coquitlam, and then buzzed over to Bill Copeland to see the Saints play the Lakers. Nanaimo, Coquitlam, and Poco were all coming off wins, and the Lakers were looking to gain some points after their loss to the Timbermen on Friday.

After falling by one goal to the Lakers on Sunday, Coquitlam came into their game with Delta on an even playing field. Delta too lost their first game of the season, falling to Victoria 5-2 at their home opener in Ladner. Both teams looking for a win to jump start their season and get some momentum flowing.

Port Coquitlam Saint Joel Dalgarno was the first BCJALL player selected in the 2008 WLA Entry Draft. The left-handed sniper that played in the Mann Cup as a call-up for Coquitlam last season was the first overall pick to the Maple Ridge Burrards on February 12th at the Burnaby Firefighter's Club.
